Zhan Jiang Visiting
Back
Zhan Jiang is on the China Sea so the weather was sub tropical.
Hot and it rained almost everyday.  Mrs. Lin took us to a maar lake
which was formed in a volcanic crater.  There are fish and turtles
but no water snakes.  Leafs and twigs very quickly mysteriously disappear from the lake's surface.
The oxygen level around the lake is 20X the normal content.
It was extremely refreshing particularly when we became soaked from a rainstorm.

Mr. Liang was our local interpreter when we adopted Cory.  We went out to a banquet with his family.

Food waiting to be cooked at the restaurant.  You were assured that the food was fresh!

This tree grew on the property of the Hai Bin Hotel, the hotel we stayed in
when we adopted Cory.  It was much larger and the gardens were huge!
We thought we were going down scale because we didn't want to stay
at the Crowne Plaza.  We quickly found out that this hotel was where
the Prime Minister stayed when he visited the city. As with all the hotels we stayed in,
all the clientale were Chinese.

Mr. Liang took us on a trip to the Zhan Jiang Botanical Gardens.
Absolutely beautiful!
