I love traditional tango music but I am also committed to offering
alternative music to the tango community.
I use MP3s via a PC software interface so the evening can be programmed to reflect
your community's tastes.
I have DJed in Albany, Woodstock, New York City and Saratoga Springs NY, Hartford CT,
Northampton MA, Chicago and Champaign IL, St. Louis, Washington DC,
Buenos Aires and Boston MA and regularly DJ in the general Berkshires area of MA,
Northampton MA, and Triangulo in NYC.
A list of my favorite alternative songs are posted below and will be constantly updated.
Also I have included the favorites of folks and DJs
that have been kind enough to share their music with me.
Originally, I did not add Gotan and Narcotango because I thought that everyone
was already familiar with these groups. I was wrong.
I forgot that there are tangueros that dislike the alternative music so much
that they refuse to play it at their milongas. It personally blows my mind.
So in the future, I will try to add everything I come across to the list.
I spend hours in music stores listening and searching for those songs that speak to my heart.
These "alternative" sets are very well received in this community.
Maybe it's because we stress connection and musicality.
