DJing is not just about popping in a cd and having the songs play randomly.  More and more Tango Milonga hosts are recognizing that a DJ can make or break a dance.  Furthermore, in response to requests from the Tango community and/or on their own volition, several DJs are exploring all types of music genres in search of tunes that have that Argentine Tango mood.  It might be electronica, techno, or a tune by Al Green.  These changes have provoked heated discussion in an attempt to define what tango music is.  Our position is that there is a place for traditional and non traditional music.
