Buenos Aires - Jan. 2005 Week 4
Back

At Pulpo and Luiza's house after a group lesson.

At Benjamin and Monica's house for a asada. We meet their son, Nehuen,
and Pepe from Mexico.

Jorge's birthday milonga way way out in the provinces.  We had the best time!  Much dancing, drinking, and eating.
I led Monica (also at the milonga Tasso, where we were joined by other women and a woman leading her boyfriend)  and no one appeared to have a problem with it.

Jorge's birthday dance included more men following him than women.
Of course, we started the trend.

Jorge's Mom.

Carlos and Patricia

Nehuen came too, along with Monica's sister, Valeria.

AND Vinh danced and we have proof!

A family asked Paul to dance with their daughter.
She became very popular!

A night out at Open Tango in San Telmo

The Feria de Mataderos.  When you visit Buenos Aires, you must go here.
We saw performances and dancing from different countries.
And of course, the gauchos, racing their horses down the street, trying to remove a ring (1 inch in diameter)
with a stick.  Unbelieveable!

A day at La Boca.  Dancing of course.

Dogs everywhere and their byproducts too!  This group is adorable so I took this photo
for my sister, Joyce, the dogsitter.

And a huge tree in Recoleta.  Notice the braces.
