Feb. 17th at Cafe Latino at Mass MoCA North Adams MA:  What a great night!  I totally laughed my **ss off.  We had a blast.  I think Victoria's Secret corporate stock went up 10 points. jlw

The process:  Paul, Molly and I asked everyone, who wanted to participate in the contest, to dance for 1 song so that we could see all the outfits.  We have to apologize to Sharon because we didn't see her backside at that time. If we had, she would have definitely made the "provocative" group.  :-) We each listed our top three (surprisingly similar) and tried our best to whittle the size down to just three nominees. Then we announced the category and the "finalists".  The finalists walked the "runway" one at a time and the audience expressed their approval by clapping, howling, foot stomping, whistles..whatever.  Then we asked the nominees to turn their backs to the audience. The MC held her hand over each candidate's head and gauged the level of applause. Everyone received the audience's approval (especially Deva's, who was nominated for two categories :-)  but it would get slightly louder for one.  Each winner won a fun bag full of goodies.

The winners:  
Most funny:  Brandon, Tony, and Robin  *Brandon Shaw -- with pink slippers, his seal t - shirt, and his long johns under a pair of boxers.  The funny part... he wore his boxers around his knees.

Most sophisticated:  Catherine, Jan, Maya, Susanna  *Maya  Mathis with a beautiful outfit---exquisite champagne satin top and black skirt.  She was totally adorable.  Robin, her other half, would agree.

Most innovative:  Alison, Tony, Deva  *Tony Lebeau---  Tony shaved his legs and his sideburns and there is a rumor that he wasn't wearing a wig..did he straightened his hair too?  What great runway presence!  The heels, the see thru top, the sexy bra, the gorgeous legs...

Most provocative:  Deva,  Dhara, Tim, Stevie, Vineet, Carey -- Carey doesn't need a sexy outfit to be provocative!  But we almost thought she had lost it after Deva walked the runway but when her turn arrived, Carey moved like no one else.  A small glitch... someone cried sexism so the MC pulled three guys out of the audience... Tim aka"brute", Stevie weavie, and Vineet.  Vineet was shy but Brute and Weavie caused little beads of sweat to appear on the forehead of the Carey girl.  it was close but Carey won the category.
